Lofty Resolutions, Appointments and Stretching!

January 31, 2023 By Rev. Donn Brammer 1 Comment

January 2023 is over, February 2023 is beginning and I pray that you may feel peace knowing that you are a new creation in Christ every day of every week of every month of every year. God renews our heart and offers new mercies every day and I pray that you resist the pressure and temptation to fill up a blank calendar with lofty resolutions and appointments that will stretch you so thin that you miss the fullness of God’s blessings. I pray that you may remember that you are more than any goal met, any resolution kept, and any to-do list checked; you are loved just as you are, not for what you do, but for who you are, you are God’s child, and I pray you find rest in that truth.

I know some days it is easy to see and feel the abundant blessings of God’s love and presence, but I want to remind us that on days when we feel anxious, challenged, overwhelmed, frustrated, disappointed, angry, etc. God understands every bit of what we are going through because God is going through it with us. God’s not just with us for the good times, God is with us all the time.

So every day of February and every day of every week of every month of every year I pray that you will know you are loved, filled with God’s grace, because you are living in the presence of God.

God Bless, Donn

Thank you for reminding me that God is always with me even when I don’t feel Him in me. You remind me that I live by faith & not what I’m feeling at the moment!
