Embracing the Hope of Christ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came
into being through Him, and without Him not one thing came into being. What has come into being in Him was life, and the life was the light of all people. John 1:1-4
Greetings Church! The story of Christmas is one of hope born in humble circumstances; a narrative that jumps through time and continues to connect deeply within our spirits. It speaks of a promise fulfilled, a light shining in the darkness, and the arrival of a Savior whose birth brought a new beginning for our world.
The hope of Christ that offers comfort, assurance, and renewal is especially needed this year, as we search for light amid the darkness of war, deep divisions, and many other crises in the world. The birth of Jesus announces a message of hope that speaks to the weary, the marginalized, the immigrant, and the average person. It brings the promise that God’s love knows no bounds and is accessible to everyone. Christmas marks the dawn of a transformative journey, a journey that leads us to the cross and the resurrection, revealing the depth of God’s love for you, me, and ALL of God’s children.
