Soon we will be launching our new website. Stacey Sofoul has been working countless hours on this project. Even if we were to pay him a penny an hour, we could not afford it. Seriously, tens of thousands of hours have gone into this project.
Why is launching a new website so important? Because the intention is to spread the Gospel, to share the good news of God’s love and grace. Our new website is intended to invite people into a living, loving relationship with God.
While we are hopeful that by visiting our new website, people will come and visit our worship services and other activities, we need to remember what is most important. Jesus said to make disciples, and the first step to making a disciple is to share the good news of Jesus Christ, and the first step to talking to someone is to speak in a language they understand and in today’s world, technology is a language. Even if you don’t have a computer, you can still tell others and invite them to visit.
We are extremely blessed to have someone who knows and understand how this technology can be used. We are blessed to have someone who has a vision and a desire to use technology to reach those who do not know of God’s love and God’s grace. But sharing God’s love and grace is a responsibility we all share. We may not all be able to speak the language of technology, but all of us can speak the language of love, and ‘love in any language’ is always understood and welcomed.
